Lazy Sunday




I went out and purchased a higher two-step step stool so Anna could wash her own hands after using the toilet. (I'm not a young mom, you know, and it was not easy hoisting her up to the faucet so often.) Doing so has opened up a whole new world of water play and constant teeth brushing for both children and, of course, a lot more helicoptering on my part. I too often catch the children at the sink brushing their teeth (sometimes with two toothbrushes at a time) or "washing" their hands for a looong time or pouring water from one container into another. Yesterday, I finally had to hide the toothpaste on a higher shelf in the linen closet. I'm glad they like to brush their teeth, but.....
