The first family photo

Sorry it took so long to find someone to take our picture, but when you don't speak Russian, your request comes out sounding like:
"Hi, could you please rub our feet?"
"Hello, your mother cooks a mean borsch."
"We're Americans, but no, we're not spying, so please don't detain us."
This is what happens when you buy your Russian translation book from the Dollar Store.

When we finally got our request right, we managed to take this photo in the baby home Thursday with Ruslan. How we all managed to be smiling on the first take is beyond me (I usually don't smile unless someone is shaking a stuffed bunny rabbit behind the photographer.)

You'd think bending down like that would be uncomfortable for Fran and I, but it wasn't. Could be because of all the feet rubs we've had while here.
