Mr. Shreve

Shreve is not just any old pooch, he's definitely part of the family. To the extent that he enjoys birthday parties and gets his nails "done"! ... Seriously, I did have to take him on Friday to get his nails clipped. I wish I'd asked the vet what they charged first because it cost $17! That's a human's manicure in some places. I'd taken him to the vet to get the first of his rattlesnake vaccine shots since that is a bit of a concern for us now that we're further out of town. He didn't even know he was getting the shot, but he cried like a baby when it came time for his nails to be clipped. That's why Mikel and I don't do it. He just won't let us without a fight and we're too wimpy to force it on him for fear of hurting him. Next time, however, I'm taking him back to this little independent groomer who only charges $5 for a quick nail trim.
