Swimming

Here are some cute photos of the kids at their first and second swimming outings at our apartment pool, taken about a month ago before we moved. Look how cute Alexander is with the floatie around his waist! This photo was taken on our second trip to the pool. He loved it so much the first time that he insisted on not just carrying the floatie himself but wrapping it around his waist as he walked down to the pool. Anna has by now had her second swim lesson through the city's Recreation Department and, in my opinion, is the best swimmer in her class. She kicks up a splash with her legs so much that I'm a bit embarrassed -- only because I somehow sense that other parents around us find it annoying, you know cuz they're getting splashed too much. But, I shouldn't encourage her to have smaller splashes, should I? And the teacher seems impressed, so I'm not going to worry about it.
