Fewer tears. We'll call that progress

Day Three consecutively of visiting Ruslan and he still starts crying as soon as he sees us.
The caregivers told us that it's likely he's afraid of me, because children in baby homes have very little exposure to men. Well, Ruslan better start adjusting ... otherwise when he comes to me asking for the car keys, I'm going to start crying. I'll show him.
He is crying less each day, which I guess is a good sign, but he's been pretty inactive each day, unlike our first visit in September when he was a little terror. I think this is a good thing, because it'll save us hundreds of dollars in baby Ridalin, and it means father and son can share some quiet bonding time each day just laying on the couch in front of the TV, watching Michigan football, Survivor, and Family Guy.
Momma thinks he's been a bit of a lump these last few days and wants a bit more action from him. I've told him that if he just lays there and nods his head but then then continues to lay there and look sad and helpless, eventually momma will leave him alone. That works for daddy.
