Mid-December Blizzard

Another week, another blizzard!
This one wasn't nearly as bad as the one in May or the one last month. At least, there wasn't nearly as much snow. The worst part of this one is the low temperatures! Right now at about 3 p.m. it's supposedly -9, with a wind chill factor of -35 or so. But it's sunny skies! (It's forecast to be -16 tonight with wind chill factors of -36 to -41!)
The weather canceled Dad's flight out this morning, so we get the treat of having him stay one more night with us. He'll fly out in the morning. It also forced our church to reschedule this afternoon's children Christmas program.
The storm began pretty on time as forecast last night around 6 p.m., right about the time we headed out for a hockey game. But we didn't have any trouble getting there or back.
Here are some pics from the hockey game and also of pretty frost on our front trees yesterday afternoon.
More photos to come of visiting with Santa and building a gingerbread house!

Thanks for the comment on our blog.
We had some icey weather last night, fun commute this morning (not).
I am planning to build a gingerbread train with Dylan. it will be after the 25th though, we are just too busy these days!
Wonderful photos of the kids. We keep up with your blog daily.
Happy holidays to you all. Stay warm!
Before the ice storm up in Rapid City my hair did not have any white to it. However, the storm even caused my hair to turn white. I had a great time, even though I was booked on a total of 11 different flights before I made it back to Memphis last night. Ya'll need to move away from the hills.
Love Dad
