Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we baked cookies for Santa and attended the beautiful Christmas Eve service at our church. The service featured a full orchestra and choir and was just beautiful. It was packed, too. And this was just the 5 p.m. service. (There were also 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. services.) I think all the parents with young children came to this service so they could get the kiddies in bed early!

I picked up Chinese take-out on the way home. And after dinner the children opened one present each, their Christmas PJs. Before bed, Mikel read the Christmas story to them from our Bible, as well as The Night Before Christmas book. Hope they didn't get too confused.
