Candy Galore!

Just a few more costume pics and we'll be all done. (I know...I'm getting tired of seeing them myself.)

Halloween night was fun for the children. It's all relative, but it sure seems like there aren't that many kids out there trick-or-treating (and likewise fewer homes giving out candy), but our two managed to rack up the goodies.

How will they ever eat all this candy? I guess mom and dad will have to pitch in and help.

Anna and Alexander seemed more interested in pushing the glowing doorbell buttons than getting treats. Before they could leave one home they were already talking about who was going to push the button at the next house. So we agreed they'd take turns. But this didn't work out too well, as they'd race up to the door and forget all their manners. Finally, we made a new rule. I would walk up with them and push the doorbell button myself.

Alexander seemed to be overly concerned about two ladies answering the door in their bare feet. Maybe they put one foot out of the home to keep the door open or whatever and he pointed out to them that they needed to put their shoes on or they would get sick or get their feet dirty or what have you.

And a first even for me (at least from what I can remember about my childhood trick-or-treat days): A lady at one home gave the kids coins instead of candy! They each got a quarter and seemed thrilled to have been given money.

Haven't checked the LeFort blog in quite a while. Kids are soo cute and looks like all is going well. They look twice as big and twice as cute as before.
