Some Influences Die Hard

Have you noticed a pattern in our blog photos? Anna is always so expressive. Even in Moscow I remember our translator, Yana (it's a popular name over there), saying "She will be an actress, you know." Conversely, Alexander is pretty laid back. Here, cuddled under an afghan their great grandmother (Maw Maw) made, Anna appears to be imitating one of the many Lenin statues found in Russia. Though her time and mobility in Russia was limited, there was no escaping the influences of the statue on every corner.
