Doesn't Look Like It But ...

... it was a tough week. Anna is hugging her brother, but later that evening we had to take Alexander to the doctor. The last blog mentioned how Alexander was sick Monday morning. He seemed to be OK the rest of that day, but for the next two days, well, let's just say mommy had to do a lot of cleaning up after him. I called the doctor Tuesday afternoon. They said all his symptoms pointed to teething, so I made a variety of things that I thought he'd eat. But because he wouldn't eat much of anything I kept giving him milk. I figured it was healthy and at least he was taking in something. Apparently all the milk made his symptoms worse. We learn as we go. Thank goodness his pediatric clinic keeps late hours because we were able to take him in Wednesday night. Mikel actually took him in (with Anna in tow) since I'd signed up for a six-week parenting class which meets on Wednesdays. The doctors checked him out and even tested his poop but said he wasn't really sick. All the milk had exacerbated a small hiccup of a problem. Thursday we started the Pedialyte and the proper starch foods and by Friday he seemed to be back to normal.
