Scabies, bronchitis, head rocking ... what's wrong?

No one ever expects to pick up completely healthy, problem-free children from a Russian institution, especially those which are so poor as the ones Yana was in. and both kids have some medical issues we need to deal with, and some which popped up while we've had them.

Yana has what looks to be a bit of a rash on her lower back and on her chest. we took pictures and sent them to our international adoption doctor, who suggested it is not likely scabies, but to watch for squiggly lines of a rash ... which I think she has on her back. (Could be she was allergic to the new American clothes she wore on her ride home ... her body prefers the passed-around garments in the orphanage?) The doctors we hired sent us overseas with a series of filled prescriptions for many emergencies, from head lice to scabies to eye infections.

Ruslan we know had bronchitis in his first year at the baby home, and doesn't breathe very clearly ata ll. In fact, many times, he almost purrs like a cat, due to some type of congestion in his chest. He also is rocking his head back and forth fairly fast when he is laid down for a nap, and does so for nearly a minute, which is kind of frightening, but may be just his way of rocking himself to sleep. We're not sure, but we'll watch him.
