No training wheels, no test run
Due to the issues Fran relayed in her previous post, we decided to pick up both children today. We leave at 8 a.m. for the two-hour drive to Cherepanov to pick up Yana, then return to Novosibirsk to pick up Ruslan.
Our rep had offered that maybe we shoulod pick up Yana today and Ruslan tomorrow, so that we get Yana accustomed to 'life on the outside' before introducing a second child into our lives -- and our 12x16 hotel room. But after Wednesday's disappointment, WE JUST WANT OUR KIDS.
So no warm ups. No 24-hour gradualk indoctrination into parenthood. No dipping one toe into the water (No more bad euphemisms)...
We're diving in. Both kids at the same time. Bring 'em on. Fran and I have been waiting what seems like a lifetime for this. We're ready.
I think.
