The non-adoption adoption rates
Boy, did our eyes light up when we began this adoption and were told that there were airlines which offered special adoption rates for parents traveling overseas to adopt children and bring them home.
Special.
Right.
Adoption rates on US airlines boast to be 50 percent discounted, but it's discounted off their full fare price. So .... their full fare price to Moscow in two weeks is over $4000, which means their 'deal' is $2000. We can book a flight through Expedia right now for $1,200. Some deal. The only bonus we can make changes to the flights for free. Still not a deal.
In addition, even though we have enough miles to fly free on Northwest, they can't find a return flight in which they have a seat for award travel. Translation? I think they allow only person on a flight flying free and someone beat us to it. They boast they have no blackout dates, but apparently they have LeFortOut dates.
