School's Out For Summer!

Aunt Connie's asking for some news, so here's a little something.
This photo was taken this morning, the children's last day of preschool. They're wearing matching T-shirts the school gives to all first-year kids on the first day of classes. Today students had a field trip to a touristy park where there are tons of bears, including little cutie-pie cubs, and a lot of other kinds of animals.
Tomorrow the school has its annual picnic at a park, and that will be it for the year!
We've been doing a lot of home-improvement projects around here, and that's been keeping us plenty busy. We spent last week redoing our deck. Had to strip it, then repaint it. Still working on the repainting of the railings. Michael ripped down the chicken-coop wire stuff that was around the railings and has intalled nice wood spindle-like pieces in its place. I'll post some before and after photos at some point.
This week we've had a contractor finishing our unfinished basement. We'll have a livable fourth floor now! Yea! It'll probably be the office. Michael considered doing it himself but he decided he didn't want to spend his summer in the basement getting frustrated. So, we hired someone. He's pretty much been over hear full-time since Saturday. I think he'll get finished today or tomorrow. He still needs to install the floor. I don't know what, if any, sort of little detail trim stuff he'll do after that.

They don't know just how lucky they are to have been chosen by you and Mikel to be part of your family.
Love Dad
