I'm Going To Louisiana

My very own picture book says it all. (The kids and I each made a picture book during the most recent snow storm. Anna's and Alexander's to be posted next.)
Yes, the children and I are flying down to Louisiana next week for about 10 days or so. We'll spend several nights in south Louisiana with my mom then drive "up" to southwest Mississippi, where my whole family has rented what appears to be a very nice home on the lake. My brother and his family will come down from North Carolina. Of course, my sister is already there. My dad will come down from north Mississippi. And, we'll also get to see many, many aunts, uncles and cousins and their children and other distant relatives. It'll be so nice to see everyone. Besides a 3-month-old baby, our lake house will be home for a week to five children ages 3 and 4. Lord, help us!
My book shows us flying down South on an "errplane", as Alexander would say. Then a big, hungry Louisiana alligator crawling out of the swamp. And our lake house rental, complete with smoke coming out of the BBQ grill, guys fishing from aluminum boats on the lake and Anna and Alexander looking wistfully through the glass doors and wishing they could go outside but can't because Mommy forgot to draw adults on the deck to supervise them.

Fran, I am really impressed with the teeth of the aligator. Love Aunt Connie
