Christmas Parade

After a little holiday shopping Saturday, we went downtown for the city's annual Christmas parade, which is really a holiday parade of lights. Main Street lamps are turned off and all the floats are lit up with no doubt thousands of lights. Like last year, we watched the parade from Mikel's office. His office faces Main Street, which is where we waited for the parade to start so my dad could take advantage of the television set and flip between the Alabaman-Auburn and Kansas-Missouri football games. There is a little patio next to Mikel's office that overlooks the street as well, and we watched most of the parade from there so the children could better take in the sounds and sights and nip in the air.
