Play Date

Whew...After a very busy morning with five children, three moms and a barking dog running around in our little apartment, it's nice to have some quiet time (Anna and Alexander are napping). I finally hosted a play date at our apartment. I figured I should at least offer, though apologetically due to the cramped quarters and Mr. Shreve. But it worked out fine. None of the kids seemed to mind. We all enjoyed the time together. After almost two hours of play time, we gathered at the table for a yummy lunch of macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and bananas. Amy and Ben brought a cake for dessert. I haven't even thought about picking up the dining room table area, which of course includes the floor, yet. After staying up late past the Oscars to dust, mop and scrub, then getting up early this morning to vacuum, I just can't bring myself to the cleaning mode yet. Plus, the running water and clinking dishes might wake up the children. Yeah, that's my excuse. We did, however, manage to put away all the toys before nap.
