First Snow, Early Snow

We awoke this morning to a little snowy surprise.

Anna was the first to spot a few flurries last night mixed in with rain. But we didn't expect it to turn to all snow or for there to be any stickage.

It's a good thing I picked up a new pair of Spiderman snow boots for Alexander on Saturday! (Anna has Hello Kitty boots.)

I think they say we got 2-4 inches, and it was still coming down when we left for school this morning.

And, yes, school was on as usual.

We were gone all day, and I didn't expect there to be any snow left on the ground by the time we arrived back home around 5:30 p.m. There was none left on the ground "down" in the city.

But this video clip and pics of the children playing in the snow were all taken this evening before dinner.

Such a snow on Oct. 5. Ugh. Will this winter be even longer than last?

the kids seem to love the snow, which is a good thing because I think it will be a long cold winter. At least that is what they are predicting over here. UGH!
p.s. thanks for you nice comments on our blog!
also, we hope that your visit to Denver was good and that Alex will be ok, can't wait to hear the outcome.

Well, I see they finally outgrew their Russia coming home coats or so it seems. They are so precious. What about Alex legs?

It is hard to understand that type of weather when it was 75 degrees in Memphis.
